Chloe must haves

Again Chloe is a winner, this high end polished brand consistently uses directional colour palettes and strong collections. This season plays with a variety of silk fabrications using crepe de chines, chiffons, georgettes and soft satins perfect for loose and floaty summer wear

Graduate Fashion Week

Yesterday I went to Graduate Fashion Week at Earls Court after a spare ticket was given to me in the Office, what a delightful afternoon I had. We managed to get there in time to watch John Moore's University from Liverpool and may I add, highly impressive industry standards.

Here are some of my favourites from the show....perhaps only a handful commercial enough to hit down in high street or premium retailers but never the less some brilliant ideas.

Silhouettes
Lots of avant-garde and extreme silhouettes, there were alot of particular emphasis on exaggerated shoulders, and statement headwear used as focal point to outfits within collections

Colour
Some of the highlights included...smokey nude tones, deep berry reds, electric and royal blue shades, sludgy cream and navy batik prints.


Fabrication
Emphasis on innovative knitwear  through the use of knots, bobbles and scrunching techniques, lots of loose, fluid and sheer fabric types
